There are plenty of books available on the poker strategies. All of them claim that they will teach you how to win each time. However in reality, though you have to apply your brains regarding your card selection: which one to keep and which one to discard, the main thing is how you plan to achieve the winning hand with the cards in your hand. And there are few strategies or rather suggestions what to do in case of a particular sequence of cards.

However, the first and foremost strategy that any experience player will tell is to mange your bankroll. You can play only as much as long as you can place bets. Once your bankroll is exhausted, you cannot play until you get the bankroll funded again. The best method is to divide your bank roll into the number of days you want to play. Suppose you want to play for a week, divide the money you fund the bankroll into seven parts.

Many online poker centers also offer you registration bonus. You can use this bonus points, also called fake cash to play the poker and win real cash. The main point here is to play using your bonus until they are exhausted. Once your bonus points end up, then you should be using real cash.
