Backgammon is a board game for two players where in the playing pieces or checkers are moved according to the roll of the dice. The main objective of the game is to remove one’s own checkers from the board before the other player can do so. This is one of the oldest table games in the world.

Though there are many variants of the game they all share common traits. Any one above the age of 5 years can play this game. Thought luck plays an important role during the course of the game there is also scope for strategy during game play.

This game was invented in the early 11^th century and since has been one of the most interesting board games. This game has been studied by computer scientists and they have been successful in designing software that is capable of beating world class players. You just need to keep practicing.
